Our Story

Inn at the Pinnacles Bed & Breakfast is a family-owned Inn, located in the heart of Brosseau Vineyards in the Gabilan Mountains of Monterey County. We are located just 5 minutes from the west entrance to Pinnacles National Park, where you’ll find natural beauty and solitude in the surrounding hills. Each room is uniquely decorated to reflect the ecosystem of the Pinnacles National Park.

In 1978, the Brosseau Family purchased an undeveloped 160-acre property in south Monterey County, located at 1600 feet elevation next to the world renowned Chalone Vineyard. Chalone Vineyard made the appellation famous by placing 3rd in the 1976 Paris Wine Tasting. Our plans were for a weekend getaway destination from the Bay Area and to plant a small vineyard. The Chalone Appellation is noted for its granite and limestone soils. The region receives very low rainfall, so water had to be trucked up the hill to irrigate the vineyard. Ultimately, Chalone Vineyard brought power, phone lines and an irrigation pipeline up the hill. Fast forward to today and our family now has a total of 45 acres planted to many different varietals.

Our family spent countless weekends and holidays at the property over the years, referring to it as our “home away from home”. Because of its proximity to Pinnacles National Park (Monument at the time) the thought of someday having a Bed & Breakfast to share with guests was something we often considered.  We finally made that dream a reality and broke ground in 2000 with many weekends spent doing the “finish” work, which included tilework, painting, and decorating. Inn at the Pinnacles Bed & Breakfast officially opened in 2002 and has been  welcoming guests from around the world ever since.
